Nicolás Bardio

Nicolás Bardio is an Adjunct Professor of International Relations at Complutense University of Madrid and was visiting scholar at the Hitotsubashi University of Tokyo. His research focuses on nuclear deterrence, European security, French nuclear doctrines, extended deterrence, and European strategic autonomy. He has previously worked on foreign and security policy in the Belgian Parliament, the European Parliament and Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has trained candidates for Spain’s diplomatic service since 2016. His work has been published in journals including Comparative Strategy, French Politics, and the European Journal of International Security.
