Innovation can be termed as a social and cultural phenomenon, which allows people to create better ways of doing things. Culture values have an impact on the way innovation takes place. This commentary discusses how nations in Europe with a background of Protestantism score higher when it comes to innovation.- Published on

Democratic erosion in Europe from 2010 onwards is characterized by cases in Hungary and Poland. Illiberal regimes took office because of favourable institutional arrangements, political scandals and economic recessions. After taking office, they redesigned the democratic system to consolidate their power. This commentary contends that populism alone does not explain democratic decline in Europe.- Published on

The conflict in the Middle-East cannot be resolved until all the belligerents agree on a peace deal. For now it seems that the US-Iran and the Gulf have agreed for a ceasefire to discuss on the terms of the deal, whereas Israel, feeling marginalised, is distancing itself from the negotiations.
